What if where you live is the key to achieving your dreams?
“I didn’t realize that I was kind of a clutter bug. I didn’t realize that about myself. I thought I was super practical, and I just wanted my living space to work like a machine. I wanted everything to be where I needed it but that was making my brain kind of cluttered. And it was like the space was reflecting my mood. It was a contagious thing.”
- Abby, in the US

“The room now feels better organized, we all got our own private spaces within the same room (even the cats!). The impact is huge.”
- Ana, in Portugal

Bring Life Love Into Spaces
BLLIS (pronounced ‘bliss’)
Science-informed. Surprisingly Simple. Making the most of what’s already there.
ABBY’S EXPERIENCE:
After Our First Session:
“I initially felt a sense of defeat in this tiny, one-bedroom apartment of mine. I was not aware that the clutter in my space was wafting an air of stress.
I told myself the clutter was "functional," when it actually made me dread entering the kitchen where I need to work the most. I dreaded the dining room too, which is where I wanted to work on multiple creative projects but just couldn't bring myself to spend time in the room.”
After Our Second Session:
“When I got rid of that big credenza, I felt like I was pushing it off my chest. Just opening up the white space, I don’t know, it’s calming.
Your knowledge has turned my dining room into a space where I love to sit. I have started working on creative projects again since I followed your suggestions. I have a greater sense of calm in my apartment now and have started a meditation practice along with reading poetry and religious texts.
Before engaging in this process with you, I had too much anxiety to sit still and spend time with the things that ultimately feed my soul. Now I see how the space I create is sort of a representation of my psyche. It's all connected. So it's cool to see the inside manifesting on the outside.”
You don’t have to live with clutter in small spaces. Open up your space, open up your mind.
A PRACTICAL EXERCISE
Are you sitting down?
How do you feel where you’re currently seated?
Design disciplines use different words for the same idea. BLLIS finds the high impact overlaps that matter most — the ones backed by science and easy to use.
Biophilic Design calls it “Prospect & Refuge”
Our instinct to seek spaces where we can see what’s coming (prospect) while feeling protected from behind (refuge).
Feng Shui calls it “Command Position”
The spot in a room where you can see the door without being directly in line with it— a position that creates feelings of control and ease.
Neuroscience calls it “Peripersonal + Extrapersonal Space Monitoring”
Your brain’s continuous monitoring of two zones — the space immediately around your body, and the wider space beyond it — scanning both for potential threats and anything requiring attention.
Simply put: Where you sit changes how you feel.
When you can see the room and who’s coming in, your brain relaxes. When your back is to the door, your brain stays on guard — working hard in the background, even when you don’t notice it.
This is the kind of simple, science-informed intervention that can transform the space you live and rewire your brain.

ANA’S EXPERIENCE:
After Our First Session:
“I needed less clutter, the room felt very messy all the time, I needed a change but felt stuck and unable to change the flow of the room. I did not know where to begin, felt overwhelmed, and lacked the energy for the task.”
After Our Second Session:
“Lyndsay helped us realize what was wrong, introduced new concepts, and showed us the importance of bringing nature inside, the power of light, and the tiny details that have a huge impact on our daily lives. It took a while to absorb the concept, but then it all made sense, the flow started, and the changes were finally happening.
“It is still a work in progress, but the impact is huge. We are quite happy.”

About Lyndsay
I’m a Biophilic Design consultant, Feng Shui practitioner, and founder who’s spent 15+ years discovering what makes spaces work.
I found myself in a buy/purge/rearrange cycle with a constant itch for change. I couldn’t find peace until I took a leap of faith out of frustration (by painting a mural on my floor which turned into a game called Tapeball!) and the flow started… Rearranging came with more intention, buying subsided, and purging created space to breath and dream and watch the magic unfold.
Too often spaces limit us. Environments should empower our best selves. The world needs more inspiring spaces.
