Something is different.

Everyone feels it.

Your therapy space has become your healing partner.

Science-informed interior design that reduces stress, boosts business, changes lives—without renovation budgets.

For therapists, business owners, and anyone who knows their space should feel better.

Dear Regarded Therapists,

As most of you wind down from your busiest month of the year, I’d like to extend a special invitation to explore the possibilities of deepening your therapy practice with BLLIS.

“I feel different… and I had the best session, best being the hardest, best being we really got through some stuff.”

This was music to my ears when I listened to Kathleen’s voice message — a psychotherapist from Ontario — after implementing simple, science-informed design interventions in her therapy practice.

What shifted for Kathleen:

- Practice enrollment increased by 30% within weeks
- In-person attendance increased by 20% (from 50% to 60%)
- “I feel different. And maybe that’s the most important thing, because in therapy my nervous system regulates their nervous system.”

The impact from small shifts in Kathleen’s already beautiful space got me thinking about healing spaces.

This page is dedicated to you. If you’re curious, I would love to connect.

Lyndsay Lowman

Founder of BLLIS

Create Spaces That Change Lives.

BLLIS (pronounced ‘bliss’) - Bring Life Love Into Spaces

Science-informed. Surprisingly Simple. Making the most of what’s already there.

BLLIS might not be for you if:

- You’re looking for a quick aesthetic refresh without deeper intention
- You want someone to just tell you what to buy
- You’re not open to exploring the “why” behind design choices

BLLIS is for you if:

 - You sense your space could deepen your therapeutic work
 - You’re curious about extending this knowledge to your clients
 - You want to understand why changes work, not just what to change

HERE’S WHAT I KNOW ABOUT YOUR WORLD

  • Therapy is a growing and competitive market

  • There’s a drive for more in-person sessions from clients

  • Your nervous system impacts your clients’ nervous systems—ensuring you feel optimal in your space deepens the quality of your sessions

  • Your impact and your clients’ healing transcend your sessions

  • Spending thousands on an interior designer isn’t in the budget

Here’s How I Can Help

BLLIS was born to answer: “What is the shortest path to a feel-good space?”

The idea: Optimize your healing space first, then explore providing the tools for your clients to do the same in their own homes.

The untapped potential: Most of your clients’ healing happens outside your sessions, within their own spaces. Knowing their experience creates opportunities to extend your impact.

And here’s something you can explore right now…

How do you feel where you’re currently seated?

Ancient design philosophies and developing scientific approaches often share the same ideas, with different labels. BLLIS looks for overlaps in impact and simplicity in delivery.

  • Neuroscience calls it ‘Survival Instincts.’ <brain symbol>

  • Biophilic Design calls it ‘Prospect View.’ <nature symbol>

  • Feng Shui calls it ‘Command Position.’ <yin/yang symbol>

Simply put: Where you sit changes how you feel. <BLLIS symbol - if we have one>

Humans have an innate need to monitor our environment for threats. When your back faces an entrance, your nervous system stays in heightened awareness, creating sustained low-level stress. Turn yourself to face the entrance = Instant calm.

This is the kind of simple, science-informed intervention that can transform your therapy space.

KATHLEEN’S EXPERIENCE

After Our First Session

“The overwhelming feeling I have is this feeling of possibility. You ask very thoughtful questions and push appropriately—to dive deeper into what I want for my business and my clients.

*Through the lens of design (which has proven research behind it), you help me understand what changes to make in my space to help my clients experience what I want them to experience.

*It’s ignited an excitement within me about how my space is designed and how that can contribute to my business.”

-----

After Our Second Session

*“I had two clients in the space yesterday. One came in and said, ‘Wow, I love your space.’ Strangely, no one noticed my desk shifted. She just noticed the space felt different.

*Then my other clients—a couple who come every week—we had the best session. Best being the hardest, best being we really got through some stuff.

*I feel different. I feel very energetically calm in the space. I like it better. I want to go down there now. I like spending time there.”

Kathleen was so moved she wrote about her experience for her clients:

  • Ana | Lisbon, Portugal Family Home

I needed a change but felt stuck and unable to change the flow of the room. Did not know where to begin, felt overwhelmed, and lacked the energy for the task.

Lyndsay helped us realize what was wrong, introduced new concepts, and showed us the importance of bringing nature inside, the power of light, and the tiny details that have a huge impact on our daily lives. It took a while to absorb the concept, but then it all made sense, the flow started, and the changes were finally happening. The room now feels better organized, we all got our own private spaces within the same room (even the cats!)”

    What Opened:

    - Space utilization increased ~50%

    - Every family member (and pet) found their place

    - Overwhelm transformed into possibility… Ana even got a promotion a year later (after wanting to take time off work due to pre-transformation stress levels)

  • Abby | Ohio, United States Home Sanctuary

I remember starting this project with you, initially feeling a sense of defeat in this tiny, one-bedroom apartment of mine. I was not aware that the clutter in my space was wafting an air of stress. I told myself the clutter was "functional," when it actually made me dread entering the kitchen where I need to work the most. I dreaded the dining room too, which is where I wanted to work on multiple creative projects but just couldn't bring myself to spend time in the room. The reality is, it was a dysfunctional space. I was resigned to the idea that this is the nature of small apartments: Essence of claustrophobia. You showed me I was wrong.

    What Emerged:

    - Free time shifted from Netflix escape to “soul-inspiring” activities and actions towards life’s next steps

    - Dread transformed into desire to be home

    - Small space revealed its hidden physical and emotional spaciousness

At the heart of BLLIS is the conviction that spaces can profoundly change people,  I’ve seen it. I’ve experienced it. And I’ve created BLLIS to explore it.

Let’s explore what’s possible for your space. No pressure, no obligation - just a conversation about your vision and how we might bring it to life.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • No. We maximize what you already have before considering anything new. Most transformations happen through rearrangement, intentional placement, and small additions (if any).

  • Traditional designers focus on aesthetics and often require budgets for furniture and renovations. BLLIS focuses on education and transformation—teaching you why changes work (backed by neuroscience, biophilic design, and ancient wisdom) so you can continue optimizing your space long after we work together.

  • Perfect. Most BLLIS interventions are temporary and portable—furniture placement, lighting adjustments, nature integration. Your landlord won’t even notice.

  • While partnerships will vary in scope and timing, a typical journey takes place within 5 sessions (60-90 minutes each) over 6-8 weeks, plus offline homework between sessions (1-2 hours/week). Total time investment: ~15-20 hours to change how you experience your space every single day.

  • Completely. That overwhelm is often a sign your space needs attention. The BLLIS process is designed to reduce overwhelm by breaking transformation into clear, manageable steps. Many clients say the clarity alone is worth it.

  • Absolutely! BLLIS is interested in exploring the possibilities within all spaces. And if the project is out of BLLIS’s realm, I will do my best to recommend someone who can help.
